Myth #1: My medical information is not safe with telemedicine

We understand that you might be concerned about privacy or hesitant regarding the confidentiality of the services you’ll receive. But the truth is, you don’t have anything to worry about. We make it a top priority to ensure all our processes and any experience a patient has with Dialogue are fully secure and confidential.

We’ve obtained SOC2 Type 2 compliance approval, CE marking, and we’re also compliant with HIPAA regulations. Behind the scenes, we follow rigorous steps, conduct regular audits, maintain a wide range of security processes, and have developed more than 50 different compliance controls to make your Dialogue experience that much safer and more private.

Myth #3: Any doctor can be hired to work virtually

Our care team members aren’t just credible, they’ve all been thoroughly vetted. Each healthcare professional in Dialogue’s dedicated virtual team has years of health and medical experience under their belts and undergoes a rigorous hiring and training process. We also provide the opportunity to attend continuing education courses to ensure they follow the most up-to-date best practices and the strictest protocols, so you don’t have to worry about being treated by someone who isn’t highly qualified.

Myth #5: Telemedicine is still too new

While it’s true that telemedicine is relatively new in the healthcare world, it’s been proven to be effective, convenient, and easy to use. Dialogue’s experienced medical team follows the most recent health regulations and adheres to established best practice protocols, clinical audits, and quality assurance processes. And if you were wondering just how many people opt for virtual care, you should know that Dialogue has a higher daily level of consultations than some of the largest ERs in Canada.

Myth #4: Telemedicine is impersonal – I can’t receive the same level of care or warmth online

We understand that the idea of receiving virtual care can seem a little impersonal at first glance. That’s why we’ve made providing warm, personalized care one of our guiding principles. From the initial consultation through the follow-up process, we do everything in our power to ensure you’ll feel better, safe, and cared for.

Myth #6: I’m not tech-savvy enough to use telemedicine

When you’re not feeling well, the last thing you want to do is learn how to use a new app. But don’t worry. Dialogue has been developed and designed with our members in mind - so no matter how tech-savvy you are or aren’t, you’ll be able to easily navigate to the care that you need. When possible, medical consultations can also be done over the phone once triage has been initiated by chat on the app. And if you prefer to be on a desktop, you can even access Dialogue on your computer; just follow the easy steps to create an account and access the service. With our aim to keep the platform as simple as possible, we undergo regular user testing and consider any and all feedback regarding how our technology can be improved to elevate your experience.

We’re available to help answer all your health questions quickly from the comfort of your home or location of choice. Ready to speak to someone within the next few minutes? Reach out to us now or schedule a time to chat that works best for you – either in between meetings or once you get home.
